How We Work

Welcome to Sketches with Color (SWC). SWC challenges combine a sketch with a color palette, and they are designed for all paper crafts...from scrapbook layouts to cards to altered projects. The challenges will be released on the 1st of each month and will run the entire month.

You may use Mr. Linky below each post upload your entries. Winners will be randomly selected each month and will receive a prize from SWC with great scrap goodies! Participating in both the sketch and the color palette gives you double the chance of winning.

Due to the high rate of international postage, we are unfortunately unable to offer prizes to participants who live outside the US. We hope you will still join along in our challenges!


General Information:

• A favorite will be chosen for each challenge and will be featured on our blog, so be on the lookout for your highlighted entry.
• All projects submitted to SWC must be original and not previously submitted for any other online challenges. You are free to combine with another challenge as long as it still follows our sketch and color palette.
• You may only submit one project per challenge.

How to be Eligible for the Monthly Prize:

• Scrapbook pages and cards must follow the sketch, but altered projects may follow the color palette only.
• Feel free to rotate, flip, change the quantity of photos etc. in the sketch, but the original design of the sketch must be recognizable in your submission.

How to be Eligible for a second chance of winning the Monthly Prize:

• The color palette must be used in conjunction with sketch.
• Neutral backgrounds such as kraft, black or white are allowed
• Incorporate the colors however you want...through your embellishments, patterned paper, etc. but all the colors in the palette must be used!
